Userzoom

Userzoom is a tool which allows website creators to gain insights into the User Experience (UX) on their site directly from the users themselves using research studies, incorporating activities surveys and guided tasks.

There is a wide range of Studies available in Userzoom split into 'Moderated' (where you observe users performing a task in real-time) and 'Unmoderated' (where users complete a survey or task in their own time).

Moderated

There are two types of Moderated Study available in Userzoom:

• Structured Interview - each user completes a set of Tasks on your site, as you talk them through it and make observations
• Open Interview - an interview with no set list of Tasks, where the moderator has freedom to allow the user to go in whichever direction on the site.

Unmoderated

• Basic Usability Test - the user is given your website and a Task to complete. They record a video completing the task, whilst talking through what they're doing and thinking
• Click Test - users are given screenshots of your website or a prototype, and have to click on points of interest which produces a Heatmap
• Card Sort - users are tasked with sorting items into categories, which can help you figure out which topics or sections of your website should logically go together. The items and categories can be fixed, or open-ended.
• Tree Test - users are given a multi-layered menu of items that you create, and are tasked with finding items within the menu. This is a good way of testing whether your menu is structured in a logical way.
• Survey - users complete a questionnaire. This can be as simple or complicated as you like, and can include using conditions, advanced logic and randomisation.
• Live Intercept - ask users whilst they are on your website to complete a Survey. These users can be gathered either by an intercept message or using a 'Feedback Tab' displayed on your site.

All Sky Websites sites are set up to support Userzoom 'Live Intercept' studies, and the platform is available to all owners of sites if you want to run other studies too.
